Balanced Budget Amendment

Spending by both parties in Congress is out of control. Enough is enough. Congress needs to pass a balanced budget amendment to the Consitituion. Many states already do this, and there is no reason we can't do this on a larger scale. If every year, Congress had to balance the books, we would not see so much waste, fraud and abuse in a gigantic spending bill, thrown together in a conference committee that no one gets a chance to read before they have to vote on it. We're up to our eyeballs in debt, and we're not even paying the monthly minimum!
