Increased supply is just the start

Yes we need to drill in ANWR and off the coast to lower prices in the short term, but we need a more comprehensive, long term strategy to sustain low energy costs. We must look towards domestic renewable energy sources such as wind, solar and hydroelectric; but we also must encourage private investment of nuclear, clean coal, gas to liquid, fuel cells and biodiesel. There is not one silver bullet to our energy crisis, but all these options collectively will make a difference.

I agree with you Joey. There is no quick solution. I am very concerned with the enviroment and taking care of this planet for my grandchildren.
I do believe that we must have American solutions for American problems and look to our own resources to fix our energy issues. Have you seen some of the plans Members of Congress have posted on the web page? It is quite interesting.
Do you know if there is a specific plan that calls more nuclear power. My late husband was involved in this field. I am amazed the US has not done more to create modern plants.
